Rimmel, a brand well known and loved by women around the world, was founded in 1820. It began when a French perfumer took over a prestigious perfumery on Bond Street. His business succeeded in 1834. Soon afterwards, he and his son, Eugene Rimmel, opened a workshop called the House of Rimmel. By the age of 24, Eugene had gained extensive experience, which enabled him to create wonderful fragrances and cosmetic colours that stood out from similar products.
