Hold the device and insert a glass electrode into the socket. Connect it to the power supply, switch it on and set the current intensity. Darsonval treatments must be carried out on dry skin. Do not use the device on wet or damp skin.
Choose the electrode best suited to the treatment. For example, use the mushroom electrode for the face, the arc-shaped one for larger areas, and the comb for hair and the scalp. Use the spot or long electrode on small or harder-to-reach areas, such as beside the nose or behind the ears.
Treatments can be carried out daily for no longer than 5–10 minutes. Do not hold the electrode in one place for more than 5–10 seconds. Holding it in one place for longer may irritate the skin (causing redness and slight swelling) or, in extreme cases, cause burns. As the skin improves, use the device less often, for example once a week or once every two weeks. Gently glide the electrode over the skin; do not press it down. The device can also be used to apply cosmetics with a suitable texture. They must be oil-based, not watery. Cosmetics can be applied through gauze.
Darsonval has a mildly astringent and drying action. The skin absorbs products very well after treatment, so apply a cream, serum, nourishing treatment or another product suited to your skin.

Do not use the device on areas of skin moistened with flammable substances (alcohol, ether, etc.), as sparks may cause burns. Do not use on wet or damp skin.
