The Physicians Formula brand was founded in 1937 by an allergist, out of love for his wife, who suffered from lupus and needed cosmetics that would not irritate her skin. Each product of the brand has since been created according to the philosophy of "healthy beauty". Physicians Formula cosmetics are thoroughly tested, hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin. None of them contain any of the more than 150 known irritant products found in products from other brands.
