Elmex Junior toothpaste provides protection during the period when teeth are changing to permanent teeth. New teeth are particularly susceptible to decay, as their enamel is porous and relatively soft. The higher fluoride content promotes the process of tooth hardening, thus increasing their resistance to acid attacks and, as a result, to tooth decay. The recommended dose of the paste is an amount equal to the size of a pea.
