To make the shower a moment of pleasure - a few tips
Both morning and evening showers have their supporters. Some prefer to refresh themselves in the morning to wake up, while others prefer to wash up just before going to bed, which helps to relieve the tension created during the day. Each of us has our own preferences, not only about the time of taking a shower, but also about what it should look like.
Some people jump into the shower quickly, treating this activity on the same level as washing their hands - it has to be done and that's it. Others like to spend more time in the shower, pouring water on themselves (and even performing water massages), massaging the body or simply relaxing with warmth and scents, thus creating a SPA substitute.
Hot (but not excessively!) water helps to relax tense muscles, warm up the body, and moisturize the respiratory tract - thanks to the warm steam. Such a shower can therefore be useful during respiratory infections - especially when you are tired of a dry cough. Hot water also helps to calm down and tune in positively before bedtime. What's more, after a warm shower, the skin also better absorbs the care ingredients from lotions.
Lukewarm or cool water (some people even like it cold!) energises and invigorates. The skin is also smoother and tighter after a cool shower, making it look healthier.
It is impossible to draw a conclusion about which option brings more benefits: both have their advantages. The most important thing for wellbeing, therefore, is simply to choose the one that gives you the most pleasure.
However, what cool and warm showers have in common is undoubtedly that the most pleasing fragrances are those of shower gel (or other product, like oil or foam). Do you prefer a scent that's pampering and soothing or, on the contrary, crisp and invigorating?
